			      Newsletter #29

This newsletter contains information on the following topics:

1. Job Openings
2. AntiVirus Software
3. NFL Pickem
4. Spam Filtering
5. Internet Explorer 6
6. Labor Day

1. JOB OPENINGS - Excel.Net will be looking to fill two technical
support representative openings. The first opening will be
Monday through Thursday from 12pm-6pm (24 hours) and the second
opening will be Monday, Tuesday,Thursday from 5pm-10pm and Sunday
from 12pm-6pm (21 hours). If you are interested in working for
our company there are additional details and an online

We will be setting up interviews for these openings soon and
hope to have them filled by early next week. Please include times
that you would be available for an interview in the "additional
comments" section of the online application.

2. ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE - Recently a flood of new viruses have been
released and some of them are very harmful. Excel.Net cannot
assist with the removal or these viruses or provide support for
AntiVirus software. However we do feel it is important to have
reliable virus-scanning software on your system. In addition to
having the software it is equally as important to update the
software on a regular basis. Finally, we would recommend that
you do not open any attachments from unknown individuals and
possibly even not open attachments from known addresses unless
you are expecting it. The two most popular software packages are
Norton AntiVirus and McAfee AntiVirus. You should be able to
purchase these at your local computer store.

3. NFL PICKEM - Once again Excel.Net will be hosting the weekly
NFL Pickem game. Each week you pick the teams that you believe
will win and then as a tiebreaker the total score for the Monday
night game. You are also allowed to drop your one lowest score
for the final standings. This is open to anyone that is
interested in participating. Last year we had over 200 players
competing for the top spot. The address for this is:

where your first step will be to create an account. We look
forward to seeing you in the game. Good luck!

4. SPAM FILTERING - We just wanted to remind everybody that
Excel.Net allows its customers to filter out their junk e-mail.
We have been receiving very positive feedback on this and keep
updating the software to ensure that it works better and blocks
the latest junk. If you have not enabled this yet for your
account go to our web site at http://www.excel.net/, login with
your account name/password and then go into the Tools->Spam
Filter menu option. You will want to monitor this up front so
that you can stop blocking mail from legitimate sources.

5. INTERNET EXPLORER 6 - Microsoft has released a new version of
Internet Explorer and Outlook Express for Windows systems. This
version will not run on Windows 3.x or Windows95. You must be
running Windows98 or higher. If you are interested in downloading
this you can get it from the Microsoft site at:

The system requirements for this version can be seen at:

6. LABOR DAY - Excel.Net offices will be closed on Monday,
September 3rd so that all of our employees can enjoy the holiday.
You will of course still be able to access the Internet. If you
